After reading the Futuhat through sixteen forms of saying, we read the twenty-seven chapters (fass) of the Fusus al-Hikam with the same eye. What we read are the site's chapter summaries, and they contain both the Fusus's own sentences and Ahmed Avni Konuk's commentary. So beside every quotation we wrote whose words they are: the Fusus or Konuk's commentary.
This page is a tally. We did not do a side-by-side reading with physics; for the physics side of the forms, see the relevant form pages. The counts are our own marking, not a result.

Both-and — two mutually exclusive sayings about the same thing at once
«Surely existence is imagination; and in truth it is al-Haqq» (fs16, Solomon chapter, Fusus)
«And as for the people of the Fire, their end is bliss; but it is within the Fire.» (fs18, Jonah chapter, Fusus)
«For instance, the disposition of some people requires delight in the demands of wrath. In that case, the place called hell becomes, for them, the very essence of paradise» (fs17, David chapter, Konuk's commentary)
Indistinguishability — neither the same nor other
«For the form there is the form of the throne in Bilqis's place, not another form. But the concrete existence here is not the concrete existence in the city of Saba» (fs16, Solomon chapter, Konuk's commentary)
«Although the identity and the origin of the knots is the string, in respect of their particularization those knots are not the string.» (fs18, Jonah chapter, Konuk's commentary)
Viewpoint — the viewpoint determines what is seen
«we, concerning him, with the language of unveiling, "vicegerent of Allah» (fs17, David chapter, Fusus)
«These levels of the vapor did not come to appearance through the entry of something else into the composition of the vapor; rather its accidental attribute came to exist while it was non-existent.» (fs18, Jonah chapter, Konuk's commentary)
«When we plant a peach stone, a tree appears from it. In relation to the stone, this tree is described with the attributes of outwardness and finality» (fs16, Solomon chapter, Konuk's commentary)
Reciprocal transformation — reciprocal conversion, two-directionality
«By Allah, it is not I who tore off the gate of Khaybar!» (fs16, Solomon chapter, Konuk's commentary)
«The first state is according to the incomplete knower. For al-Haqq discloses Himself to that incomplete knower in accordance with his heart. The second state is according to the complete knower. For his heart follows the divine self-disclosures.» (fs18, Jonah chapter, Konuk's commentary)
Knowledge — knowledge as a veil
«So al-Haqq has veiled Himself by Himself.» (fs18, Jonah chapter, Konuk's commentary)
Relation — a thing cannot be defined before its relation
«For al-Haqq, the Exalted, is the companion of the one who remembers Him; and the companion is the witnessed of the rememberer; and the rememberer is not a rememberer whenever he does not witness al-Haqq, who is his companion.» (fs18, Jonah chapter, Fusus)
Continuity — continuity, the appearance of another structure underneath
«Whereas the creation of the world renews itself at every breath through the divine self-disclosure.» (fs16, Solomon chapter, Konuk's commentary)
«This is not annihilation. For that "name" does not become non-existent. Rather, what is called "death" consists in the separation of the combined elements.» (fs18, Jonah chapter, Konuk's commentary)
Containment — the container fits inside the contained
«Know the world from end to end to be a mirror, and a hundred suns shining in every atom!» (fs16, Solomon chapter, Konuk's commentary)
Inside-outside — neither inside nor outside
«So since the particular Lord is our inner, we are tacitly with Him; and since we are His outer, He is explicitly with us» (fs16, Solomon chapter, Konuk's commentary)
Time — time contracts, a single now
«Whereas the creation of the world renews itself at every breath through the divine self-disclosure.» (fs16, Solomon chapter, Konuk's commentary)
Bewilderment — the last word is not understanding but bewilderment
«And if we were to alert you to the station of Solomon in full, you would see a matter that, once you became aware of it, would terrify you» (fs16, Solomon chapter, Konuk's commentary)
Non-repetition — nothing comes a second time
«al-Haqq does not make the same self-disclosure to two loci of manifestation, nor two identical self-disclosures to one locus; that is, there is no repetition in self-disclosure» (fs16, Solomon chapter, Konuk's commentary)
